History

  • First tactical vests home made in Northern Poland since 1994. They are one of the first tactical vests manufactured in Poland after 1989.

  • December 1999, idea to start an Internet vortal „SPECOPS” is formed.
  • June 2004, informal SPECOPS group is forme.
  • December 2004, first meetings with suppliers, first prototypes are made. 
  • February 2005, tactical vest v0.0 manufactured. 
  • March 2005, SPECOPS AUSTRALIA is registere.
  • September 2005, outline of MKT-1 system.
  • October 2005, exclusive distribution rights for CAMTECH face paint in eastern Europe.
  • December 2005, tactical vests MKT-2 tested by special forces in Poland and abroad. 
  • February 2006, outline of project MKT-3.
  • April 2006, tactical vest MKT-3 officially shown at DSA2006 in Kuala Lumpur Malaysia.

  • May 2006, improved version of MKT-3 is made MKT-3 v1.1 
  • October 2006, SPECOPS officially starts to operate in Poland as a small business.


  • November 2006, start of project AI AWS.
  • December 2006, MKT-3 is patented – projects is described in detail in a “Broń i Amunicja” article.   


  • February 2007, prototype of  AI AWS is made, frontline testing starts. 
  • April 2007, SPECOPS exhibits for a first time on the Polish defense market trade show -  EUROPOLTECH 2007, MKT-3 is entered into 'SUPERNOWOCZESNY' design program.

  • September 2007, end of combat trials for AI AWS v1.0 system, with very positive user feedback. PSW-3QR enteres mass production. 
  • December 2007, first investment phase and transformation into a Pty. Ltd company with share capital of 500 000 PLN. 
  • June 2008 – new  WWW service opens
  • August 2008 – SPECOPS becomes a Bohemia Interactive distributor of VBS2 in Poland.
  • September 2008 – company present on MSPO Kielce – international arms exhibition
  • March 2009 – restructuring of share capital, SPECOPS Sp. z o.o. moves to a new office in central Gdynia. Share capital reduced to 150 000 PLN
  • April 2009 SPECOPS present at EUROPOLTECH defense trade show in Warsaw, PSW-3 and VBS2 entered into "SUPERNOWOCZESNY" program.
  • July 2009 SPECOPS NORDIC based in Helsinki is formed with 25% SPECOPS Sp. z o.o. capital.
